18 PROBLEMS ONLY SHORT PEOPLE WILL UNDERSTAND

Thursday, June 18, 2015

I have been living the "midget life" since...
well.. since I was born. :-(
And I'd just like to share the problems short people like me experience everyday
Here are some of them:

1. WHO INVENTED TOP SHELVES?!
Cooking is a workout and
Kitchens are also not for us.

Exercise time! Rock climbing na itu.

Honestly though, its like its our daily stretch routine.

3. THE FEAR OF STAMPEDES AT CONCERTS / RAVE PARTIES

Do I have to stress this enough?
You paid for a concert that you've been dying to watch and you even purchased the
"Super VIP pass"
...pero ulo lang ni Beyonce kita mo.

And at rave parties, you get scared every time the DJ says "Put your, put your hands up!!"
cause everybody's going to jump..... and you're just there......
all small, getting squished like there's no tomorrow.. *cries*

4. TRAIN RIDES ARE STRESSFUL

MRT/LRT rides can be a pain in the neck.. and arms.
Plus you spend an hour facing the armpit of a stranger.
(swerte mo nalang kung hindi basa yan........ at walang amoy lol)

5. SWIMMING
I be in the 5ft. pool like..

Yes I'm okay... I'll just tip toe on my way there...

6. DRIVING
Moving your entire seat forward so that you can drive.
#HASSLEBRUH

7. WEARING HEELS

You have to wear heels just to have the same height with your friends.
And even if all of you and your friends wear heels, you're still the smallest one.

What's worse is when you're wearing your favorite flat shoes/sandals...
and everyone decides to wear heels.

8. FINDING THE PERFECT SIZE OF CLOTHES FOR YOU

MAXI SKIRTS BECOME MAXI DRESSES
Finding the perfect size of pants/shorts for you is like finding a diamond on a sea lol

9. BOUNCERS WHO ALWAYS ASK FOR YOUR ID
They are your worst enemy.
Bouncers would stare at your soul like..

And you're just there like..

Yes i'm above 18 and my height is for a 10 year old kid, i know. *sighs*
But eventually, they'll let you in cause they need you in there homie!

So you'll be inside the club like...

YAAASSSSSSS TWERK IT LIKE MILEY

10. GETTING A BUNCH OF CODENAMES

Being called "SHORTY", "SMURF", "4'11", "LIIT"..

HELLO? I have a name :-(
OK I'm done *cries*

11. BEING THE SMALLEST PERSON IN A
JAM PACKED CAR
When you and you're friends are about to go somewhere but there's only one car.
Everyone will be like "Okay lang yan kasya yan'!"
But you're sitting there like...

OK LANG YAN, KASYA YAN.
OK LANG DIN AKO, THANKS

12. EVEN WALKING IS HARD
Our famous words:

So you'll have to brisk walk
ALL-THE-TIME

13. ANSWERING DUMB QUESTIONS
Getting questions like:
"Bakit ang liit mo?"
"Nag Cherifer ka ba nung bata ka?"
"Hindi ka na ba tatangkad?"
My reaction outside:

What I feel inside:
IT'S ALL IN THE GENES BRUH
So, stop askin & start appreciatin'
NAWMSAYIN'?

14. KISSING A TALL GUY/GIRL
Trying to tiptoe while streching your neck just to kiss someone makes me feel like im a giraffe.

Even talking to them makes our neck hurt :-(
(The struggle is real guys)
(But can I just say that tall guys are THE BEST)

15. WE ARE NEVER TAKEN SERIOUSLY
I tell you,
This-Is-Not-Funny-At-All

People always want to lift you up...
Literally. Lol.

16. GROUP PICTURES ARE AWKWARD FOR US
We need to be on the front row or else,
no group picture for us!
(We also need to tiptoe every time there's a group picture.
Do you understand the struggle now?)

17. EVERY CHAIR WE SIT ON IS A HIGH-CHAIR
Even toilet seats.

It feels like I'm levitating every time I sit on a chair.

18. YOU CAN NEVER BE A MODEL
Well, this is the worst. :-(

But on the bright side,
Small people like us....
never bump our heads on low ceilings,
we have extra leg rooms,
we can wear clothes/shoes for kids,

PLUS
You can also experience this with the person you're dating ;-)

 And we look more young
and cute. ;-)
SO WHO'S THE REAL WINNER NOW?
(Just kidding haha!)
Well for me, either you're tall or short,
Height doesn't matter
(Its whats on the inside that matters, NAKS)
It shouldn't stop you from doing your thing. ;-)
